After I took this picture, I realized my facial expression at the time did not adequately convey the outrage I was feeling, so I added some clarifying ink to it to make sure that I got my point across. In the "blogosphere", this is called an "emoticon".

Springtime
Last fall, the mosquitoes season began to slow somewhere around October, but we'd still occasionally find isolated individuals within the house well towards the end of November. And Saturday, while sitting on the coach, on February 19th, I found one sucking away at my elbow. The highs this week are all in the 70s. It's humid and sticky outside at 8 AM. This is ridiculous.

I was sitting in an off-the-grid straw-bale log dwelling outside of Crested Butte on Sunday, when it was 5 outside and 14 inches of snow had fallen the night before. There was a fly on the window.
ReplyDeleteBUT I DEALT WITH IT.
I hope wolves swarm your off the grid straw bale house and you have to flee to someone's Colorado Springs brick McMansion to find shelter.
ReplyDeleteAlso, instead of insulting me, why don't you finally get around to telling me the right URL for your blog, if it exists?

ReplyDeleteWill there be flies in early to mid-April? What kind of plagues happen then?
ReplyDeleteAre you coming here then?
