Hickory

Let me just say that I could not agree more with the results of the 2011 WKC Dog Show and the judges' iconoclastic decision to hand the Best in Show title to a Scottish deerhound. I hate to echo all the other critics yet again, but winner GCH Foxcliffe Hickory Wind is truly the My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy of this year's Westminster Kennel Club.

Pictured at right is a photo of Hickory and her handler, Angela Lloyd. This was taken moments before the ceremony reached its annual climax: the heavy urn of ether is being passed down the row of judges to Ms. Lloyd, who will breathe of it deeply while the eunuch (far right) unveils the ceremonial knife. As the crowd chants the famous WKC liturgy, Ms. Lloyd will be ritually disemboweled and her entrails placed in the great pewter bowl held by the judge on her right. Hickory will sup mightily, the orgy will commence, and the apotheosis will be complete.

Congratulations, Hickory!
